Senator Jeff Tarte Announces He Will Seek Re-Election; Campaign Endorsed By Over 140 Local and Statewide Leaders

Cornelius, NC – Yesterday North Carolina State Senator Jeff Tarte announced his intention to seek re-election in a letter sent to his supporters and friends. Below you can find a copy of the letter and the endorsement list.

Endorsements are from over 140 local and statewide elected officials including Lieutenant Governor Dan Forest, every Republican State Senator, virtually all of the State House members, as well as overwhelming bi-partisan support from almost every local Republican and unaffiliated official in the 41st Senate District. Senator Tarte has raised over $60,000 towards re-election and had over $45,000 cash on hand as of the 4th quarter report.

“After almost six years working towards a more prosperous community in our state, I am happy to report that since 2012 we have seen record low unemployment, record job growth, and record surplus growth within our state” said Tarte after announcing his endorsements and re-election campaign. “With our strong statement of support today, along with North Carolina’s best in the nation for business status, I am optimistic that the voters of the 41st Senate District will re-elect me to continue to be their voice in Raleigh.”

Tarte’s Campaign Chairman Greg Wessling, COO of The Lake Norman Company and a retired Lowe’s executive stated, “All of North Carolina has been improved as a direct result of Senator Jeff Tarte’s leadership. Senator Tarte has helped lower taxes, reduce regulations and improve the business environment for all of North Carolina’s citizens. His work on the state level has moved North Carolina to the best place to start and own business in the country. We as a community look forward to sending Senator Tarte back to Raleigh in 2018.”

Senator Jeff Tarte has served in the North Carolina Senate since 2013. He was first elected in 2012. Prior to serving in the North Carolina State Senate, Senator Tarte served as Mayor of Cornelius from 2007 thru 2012. He and his wife Dr. Nancy Tarte raised three grown children in the Lake Norman area where the Senator and his wife still live, work and contribute to the community.
